The British Isles Grooming Association (BIGA) invites all professional pet groomers and industry participants across the UK and Northern Ireland to take part in this landmark census—the first of its kind for our sector.

This nationwide initiative is designed to gather essential, real-world data about the grooming profession: who we are, where we work, how we’re trained, and the challenges we face.

With no official register or accurate figures currently in place, there are many assumptions and misconceptions about our industry. This census is our opportunity to put the record straight—with facts, not guesswork.

BIGA is a trade body for groomers that sits on the Canine & Feline Sector Group (CFSG)—the key advisory group to the UK government on matters of animal welfare and standards. The insight you share here will directly support our representation at the highest level.
