BIGA relies on the goodwill and talents of its volunteers. We are currently seeking volunteers to help with the following:
Membership Management - to deal with any queries from members and applicants about membership levels and status
Benefits - to manage the relationship with goods and service providers, maintain, develop and promote benefits for BIGA members
Agony Aunt - are you a writer and love providing balanced professional advice in a short blog-style regular article? Good sense of humour?
Events - good at organising and co-ordinating a thousand different moving parts or taking responsibility for your deliverables? BIGA Events will benefit from your skills
Corporate - got a knack for the legal side of stuff? Basically to help provide professional oversight and activity to ensure compliance (eg. when it comes to data, legal responsibilities of a not-for-profit association), perhaps using your experience or knowledge of these things
Illustrator / graphic designer / photographer - always helpful to have a good illustrator and/or photographer we can turn to for website images, email articles, magazine advertising and more
Volunteer co-ordinator - do you understand how to co-ordinate volunteer activities? do you appreciate Volunteer Welcome and Volunteer Appreciation to ensure our volunteers are valued and recognised for their contributions?
Forums moderator - do you have a good sense of what is acceptable within our Professional and Social forums when it comes to member behaviours? Do you have good ideas for conversation-starters?
Pinterest - BIGA member Elaine Hammond has created and maintains Pinterest boards of styles/grooming of many breeds of dog (and cat) . These are likewise published on mypetgroomer.co.uk.
Facebook/social media - a moderator for the BIGA Facebook community page and/or Instagram expert to promote mypetgroomer.co.uk
